Staying at The Moorings, Port Gaverne
Our changeover agents note the utility meter readings and if the useage is noticably more than the seasonal average we reserve to make additional charges for oil, water and electricity.
Taking Care of the Property
The property, furniture, fixtures and fittings and equipment are to be left in the same condition that they were found on arrival. Any damage, loss or breakages must be paid for. However, minor accidental breakages will not normally be charged for. The accommodation is only for the number of people (plus cot/childs camp bed) stated when booking. The Moorings is strictly a No-Smoking property in ALL internal rooms and areas.
Arrival & Departure
The key to the back door is stored in a lock-box and is available from 3pm on the day of arrival. The code, directions and other pre-arrival information will be provided on confirmation of booking. Guests are requested to vacate the premises by 10am on the morning of their departure.
We are very pleased to welcome well behaved pets to The Moorings, but would ask that you do not allow them upstairs, on the furniture or beds, left alone indoors, or to roam outside unattended at any time.
Reservations must be accompanied by an initial payment of 25% of the tariff price, with the balance payable at least 8 weeks before the arrival date. A £250 security deposit also is payable, which we aim to refund within 14 days of our changeover agents’ inspection after departure. We accept payments by cheque, inter-bank transfer (BACs) or Paypal (payments by Paypal incur a 3.5% handling charge). If the booking is made within 8 weeks of the arrival date, the total price will be required. We will send written eMail confirmation upon receipt of the Booking, together with the lock-box code, directions and other pre-arrival information. Non payment of the balance due will be considered a cancellation (no reminders are sent). In the event of a cancellation you will be liable to pay the total amount due. However, if we manage to re-let the accommodation, 75% of the cost will be returned. You are advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover this eventuality.
The owners cannot accept responsibility for injuries sustained by any visitor, nor for any loss or damage to vehicles or effects brought onto the property.
